"Nehalennia is often called the Goddess of the North Sea, or Goddess of the Boat, and people prayed to her for safe passage over the sea in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany around the 1st and 2nd centuries AD. So she was a Celtic goddess with Norse and Roman connections. This would fit very nicely into ideas from the Ancient World of dolphins bringing good luck and of saving shipwrecked seafarers, as well as connecting us to the cold waters of northern seas. The name has a nice ring to it too."
